‘Family Guy’ takes on Fox over abortion-themed episode | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press.
Seems that Emmy-nominated “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane isn’t too pleased with 20th Century Fox.
Over the weekend at San Diego’s Comic-Con, a gathering of comic book and popular arts enthusiasts, MacFarlane told a crowd that Fox gave the green light to a “Family Guy” episode about abortion, but most likely won’t air it, Eonline.com reports.
“20th Century Fox … allowed us to produce this episode and then said: ‘You know what? We’re scared,’ ” MacFarlane said.
Fox hasn’t released a statement about MacFarlane’s claims, and no details about the episode have been made available.
But don’t worry too much about Stewie and crew. In May, MacFarlane signed a $100-million deal to keep “Family Guy” and “American Dad” on the air through 2012. “Family Guy” airs at 9 p.m. Sunday on Fox.
